Every group rider in India knows the drill. Twenty bikes leave Delhi at dawn. By the first fuel stop, the pack has split into three. Someone's phone is buzzing in a jacket pocket. The WhatsApp group is a wall of "Where are you?", "Crossed the toll", "Wait at the dhaba". The lead rider is doing headcounts from muscle memory.

We built PackTrack Navigation to end that. Starting today, it's rolling out as an invite-only beta to riding groups across India.

Every rider, live on one map

Start your ride on Asteride and every rider who has joined it appears on the map, in real time, from flag-off to the final stop. Your position stays centred, the pack rides around you, and a pinch-to-zoom shows anyone's exact location. Real kilometres are logged as you ride, so your ride history finally reflects the road, not an estimate.

How it works, in five steps

1. Get invited. Access is invite-only for now. We're onboarding as many riding groups as we can, so if your group wants in, reach out.

2. Grant the permissions. Location set to "Allow all the time", notifications, physical activity, and unrestricted battery. That's what keeps you on the map with your phone in your pocket and the screen off.

3. Start the ride. The Start button unlocks two hours before your scheduled start, from the Home screen ride ticket or from Ride Zone. Riders come online one by one as they leave home.

4. Ride, and let the map do the talking. Need turn-by-turn guidance? Tap Directions and Google Maps navigation takes over while tracking continues in the background.

5. Finish at your doorstep. Tap Finish when you're home. The full journey, every real kilometre, goes into your logs.

Built for the worst day, not just the best one

Group riding in India comes with real risks, and PackTrack carries a safety layer designed by riders who've lived them.

The Riders Overview shows every rider's live status: Riding Together, Didn't Start, Finished. Phone numbers are one tap away, so you only call the riders who haven't started. Admins can remove no-shows and keep the pack clean.

And when something goes wrong, a breakdown, a fall, a medical situation, one tap on SOS alerts every rider in the pack with your live location, your emergency contact, and your blood group. The pack knows where you are and how to help before the dust settles.

Why this changes group riding in India

India has one of the largest motorcycling communities in the world, and it runs on trust: the sweep rider who never leaves anyone behind, the marshal counting helmets at every stop, the family at home waiting for a "reached safely" message. PackTrack doesn't replace any of that. It gives it eyes.

Ride captains stop being human GPS trackers and start riding their own ride. New riders join breakfast rides without the fear of being lost at the first flyover. And every family gets the quiet assurance that the pack is watching over their rider.

PackTrack Navigation is the foundation of something bigger we're building at Asteride: a complete ride experience layer for motorcycling communities, from planning and discovery to safety and stories worth retelling. It's in beta, it's improving with every release, and the riders testing it are shaping what it becomes.
